Genesis Gold Group is seeking an experienced, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization through accurate accounting, financial reporting, compliance oversight, and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls, with the ability to support strategic business decisions through accurate and timely financial information.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly journal entries, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account analyses, and general ledger maintenance to ensure financial accuracy.
- Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation and supporting schedules.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning initiatives.
- Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Monitor financial transactions and accounting processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and improved controls.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations that support business growth and profitability.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation for all financial activities.
- Assist with payroll accounting, commissions, and benefits-related accounting as needed.
- Support special projects, acquisitions, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in financial services, wealth management, investment firms, or highly regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
- Experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and payroll platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience with commission-based compensation accounting.
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Background in financial services, investment management, banking, or precious metals industries.
- Experience with Paycom and multi-entity accounting environments.
