Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our cardiovascular team. Duties
- Prepare and operate specialized medical equipment for cardiac catheterizations, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Assist cardiologists during interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including cardiac stress tests and electrophysiology studies.
- Monitor patient vital signs continuously, ensuring stability throughout diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards during invasive procedures.
- Analyze cardiac rhythms and perform cardiac diagnostics to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Document procedural details, imaging results, and patient responses accurately within electronic health records and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Support the interpretation of physiological data, including anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and cardiovascular technology insights to enhance diagnostic evaluation.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a cath lab environment with proficiency in cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology procedures.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and cardiovascular technology principles.
- Skilled in operating complex medical equipment such as ultrasound devices, fluoroscopy units, and PACS systems.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols, Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred.
- Ability to perform vascular ultrasound imaging and cardiac rhythm analysis with precision.
- Excellent understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices during invasive procedures.
- Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist is required; additional credentials in sonography or echocardiography are advantageous.
