We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, patient care, and clinic management. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. 4 days a week in Beverly Hills

Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners, and ensuring all materials are ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), maintaining proper technique and adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Manage electronic medical records using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and medical coding.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and explain procedures using appropriate dental terminology.
- Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation efficiently.
- Perform vital signs assessment for pediatric patients or those requiring medical evaluation before treatment to ensure safety during procedures.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures using X-ray equipment or 3D scanners to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Uphold compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all medical records and patient information.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry practices.
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral structures.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and working effectively with children is preferred.
- Understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and medical coding practices related to dental care.
- Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools required for comprehensive patient assessments.
- Strong organizational skills combined with excellent communication abilities to coordinate seamlessly between clinical staff and patients.
