POSITION OVERIVEW
Dwyer Marble & Stone is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate. This role is responsible for serving both customers and fellow employees to ensure excellent service is provided when moving inventory for customer selections, picking orders, staging orders for delivery, or receiving inbound inventory. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, is organized & efficient, and has prior experience operating overhead cranes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer Service: Assist coworkers and customers by moving slabs for them to make selections. This involves direct contact with customers and a friendly disposition is a must.
- Material Handling: Moving granite, quartz and porcelain slabs with an overhead crane or forklift. Moving pallets with a pallet jack or forklift.
- Order Picking: Pull orders accurately using a pick list, verify serial numbers, stage for delivery, and load delivery vehicles according to DOT regulations.
- Inventory Management: Replenish inventory by checking in transfers, sorting and putting away material, keeping inventory locations accurate, and performing cycle counts as assigned.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures, including maintaining a clean workspace
- Collaboration: Assist fellow employees in the Warehouse with daily operations while effectively communicating with Showroom, Customer Success, and Drivers to resolve any needs between departments.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Requires use of safety equipment such as safety boots. Gloves, hard hats, eye protections are provided but not required.
SCHEDULE
- Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
- Rotating Saturdays 9am-1pm, on average of 1 per month.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATOINS
- High School degree or equivalent
- Friendly, confident, and customer focused
- Dependable with the desire to work
- Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 50 lbs.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment and on individual assignments
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter who is willing to go the extra mile
- Comfortable balancing multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Basic computer proficiency, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to delivering consistent, elevated client experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Higher education is a plus
- 2+ years of Forklift Experience
- 2+ years of Overhead Crane Experience
