Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems across various facilities. Duties
- Install, configure, and test low-voltage systems including CCTV surveillance, fiber optic networks, structured cabling, and telecommunication systems
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, and network wiring issues using diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
- Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic system installation to ensure high-quality data transmission
- Conduct site surveys using schematics and technical drawings to plan cable routing and system layouts
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, test results, and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference
- Assist with network installation projects involving Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6), telephony systems (Avaya), and radio frequency (RF) testing
- Support customer service efforts by providing technical guidance and resolving client issues promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician in telecommunications or IT environments
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring, structured cabling installation (Cat5/Cat6), and telecommunications systems
- Familiarity with schematics, network installation procedures, and computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configurations
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, fiber optic systems installation, and telecommunication testing equipment
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and diagnostic tools effectively
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards including NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred; willingness to travel for field service assignments is required

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
