Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to execute framing and drywall tasks accurately
- Frame walls, ceilings, and partitions using metal studs or traditional wood framing methods, ensuring structural integrity
- Install drywall panels efficiently, including cutting, fitting, and securing panels with hand tools and power tools
- Perform drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and finishing to achieve smooth surfaces ready for painting or further finishing
- Conduct drywall repairs and restoration work, including water damage remediation and mold remediation procedures
- Install fixtures such as doors, trim carpentry elements, and other interior components following safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of tools
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, drywall installation, framing, or related fields
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to carpentry, drywall taping, mudding, caulking, and fixture installation
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and ability to follow safety protocol adherence at all times
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Experience with metal stud framing, drywall texturing, plastering, tile laying or flooring installation is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction site practices including plumbing (construction plumbing), masonry, remodeling projects and restoration industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site while maintaining high-quality work standards
