We are excited to offer a dynamic weekend opportunity for a dedicated Health Tech focused on adolescent health!
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic WEEKEND Mental Health Technician to join our team, providing compassionate care and support to adolescent girls (12-18 yrs old) experiencing mental health challenges, who have a history of severe trauma . In this vital role, you will work closely with our trauma-informed staff to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment where teens can begin their journey toward recovery. Your proactive approach, combined with your expertise in psychiatric care, will help foster positive outcomes for our young patients. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a meaningful difference in behavioral health care!
Shift Availability: EVENINGS 4:30PM-11:45PM AND FRIDAY-SUNDAY BETWEEN 8AM-1 1:45 PM (OPEN AVAILABILITY PREFERED); 12 hour shift availability
Applicants MUST:
- Be 21 years or older
- Have a GEORGIA drivers license
- Have a GED or high school diploma
- Pass a clean background check
- Be available at least 4 days per week
- Be able to start within 2 weeks
Responsibilities
Monitor and observe teenage patients continuously, ensuring their safety and well-being through vigilant monitoring.
Assist in implementing behavior management plans and behavioral health interventions tailored to individual needs.
Assist with patient activities, including therapeutic interventions, group sessions, and daily routines
Support and supervise medication administration, adhering strictly to medical protocols and documentation standards
Document patient behaviors, responses, and progress accurately in logs
Implement behavior management techniques to de-escalate crises and promote positive interactions
Collaborate with team members and report any concerns or incidents promptly
Maintain a clean, safe environment by following policies on daily living and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals with behavioral, mental health, or disabilities in psychiatric settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and teenage
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and patient observation methods
- Experience in group homes, corrections, or hospital settings
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion

Pay: $14.25 - $18.25 per hour
