Epoxy Floor Coating Technician — Pittsburgh Area
We are hiring an Epoxy Floor Coating Technician to join a growing floor coatings crew in the Pittsburgh / Western PA area.
This position involves installing high-quality concrete coating systems for garages, basements, patios, commercial spaces, and other concrete surfaces. This is a hands-on construction position for someone who is reliable, hard-working, detail-oriented, and willing to learn the floor coating trade.
Pay: Up To $150 per day to start with raises with advancement.
Schedule: Full-time / part-time opportunities available depending on workload
Location: Pittsburgh, Western PA, and surrounding areas
Experience: Construction, concrete work, painting, flooring, or epoxy experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
Responsibilities:
- Prepare concrete floors for coating systems
- Grind concrete using walk-behind grinders and hand grinders
- Vacuum, clean, scrape, and detail floor surfaces before coating
- Repair cracks, divots, spalling, and damaged concrete
- Mix and apply epoxy, polyaspartic, and other floor coating materials
- Broadcast decorative flake and assist with scraping/topcoat prep
- Help load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
- Protect customer property and keep job sites clean
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment at the end of each job
- Follow crew leader instructions and the installation process
- Maintain a professional attitude on residential and commercial job sites
Requirements:
- Must be reliable and show up on time
- Must have reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Construction, flooring, concrete work, painting, or coating experience is a plus
- Experience with concrete work, surface prep, patching, grinding, or general labor is a plus
- Comfortable interacting with customers in a professional manner
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Comfortable working on your feet, kneeling, bending, and doing physical labor
- Willing to work with grinders, vacuums, hand tools, rollers, squeegees, and coating materials
- Must be able to work in garages, basements, patios, commercial buildings, and active job sites
- Must take pride in clean, detailed work
- Must be willing to learn and follow a proven installation process
- Willing to do occasional travel work (per diem for hotel, food, etc provided)
