Summary
This position supports the organizations Quality Management Systems (ISO & IATF) for all Sumitomo Chemical Advanced Technologies business units.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of SCATs ISO and IATF Quality Management System. This position requires a deep understanding of ISO and IATF Quality Management Systems and the ability to coach and train all levels of the organization on QMS requirements and integrating the requirements into all business processes. Flexibility and transitioning between many disciplines is the norm.
- Develop and maintain Quality Objectives and Metrics with each business unit Director
- Work with business units to achieve Quality objectives and metrics.
- Manage Quality Process Performance Objectives and Metrics with each Process Owner
- Work with process owners to achieve process performance objectives and metrics.
- Assist Manufacturing Operations with development and maintenance of Control Plans and FMEAs.
- Coach/assist employees to develop Continuous Improvement Projects and assist in their timely completion
- Train new employees on creating and using Control Plans and FMEAs.
- Lead the Non-conforming Material Program
- Ensure a robust system to segregate, prevent unintended use and disposition of materials.
- Manage Corrective Action System to ensure non-conformities are closed in a timely manner.
- Coach and train employees with structured problem-solving disciplines.
- Coach and train employees on the 7 Quality tools for improved and structured root cause analysis.
- Lead the internal audit process for Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Ensure a well-staffed and well-trained audit team
- Facilitate monthly auditor meetings to maintain appropriate level of auditor competence.
- Facilitate 3rd Party Quality System Audits.
- Assist 2nd Party Quality audits.
- Develop and drive the organization’s SPC and Measurement System Capability Programs.
- Coach/Train and assist production and characterization groups with Gage Study and SPC Techniques.
- Participate on cross functional lean manufacturing teams to drive improvement and eliminate waste.
Qualifications
- BS in related science, engineering, or management
- Strong Knowledge of ISO and IATF standards
- Experience managing an internal audit program
- Experience with structured problem solving
- Knowledge and experience with Control Plans and FMEAs
- Experience with Project Management
- Knowledge of KPIs for QMS
- Strong leadership, organizational and time management skills
- Experience in the chemical industry or semiconductor business preferred.
- Must be able to don cleanroom garments & work in a cleanroom environment for up to 8 hours while auditing, training, or working on improvement teams.
