Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT licensure in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices for Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse needs and learning styles
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy to students with varying abilities
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff trainings as needed
- Educate and offer resources to families to facilitate student progress at home and in the classroom
- Adapt or recommend classroom modifications and assistive devices as necessary
- Monitor, review, and adjust interventions to maximize student outcomes
