As a Locker Room Attendant at Shell Bay, you play a vital role in delivering the ultimate member experience — ensuring the locker room and its premium amenities reflect the highest standards of luxury, comfort, and care. This position oversees a suite of elevated spaces including the outdoor patio, cold plunge, steam room, sauna, bar, lounge area, card room, and conference room.
Additionally, you will work hand-in-hand with the Golf Operations Department to create a seamless experience for members transitioning between their rounds and the locker room. Whether preparing lockers pre-arrival or assisting post-play with amenities and personalized service, your contribution is essential in delivering continuity and excellence across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcomes members and guests with warmth, professionalism, and discretion.
- Anticipates needs and delivers personalized service with consistency.
- Monitors and maintains the highest levels of cleanliness and ambiance across the locker room and showers, outdoor patio and seating areas, cold plunge, sauna and steam rooms, bar and lounge, and card and conference rooms.
- Replenishes amenities, towels, toiletries, and refreshments regularly, ensuring flawless presentation at all times.
- Partners closely with the Golf Operations Team to support member preferences, locker assignments, and pre- and post-round needs.
- Coordinates with housekeeping, engineering, and food and beverage to ensure a seamless experience.
- Assists with special golf events and ensures locker room services align with the overall club experience.
- Offers premium concierge services, including shoe cleaning, locker preparation, and personalized setups.
- Ensures the safety, privacy, and security of all member belongings with utmost discretion.
- Supports hosting and setup of events in locker-adjacent amenities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One to two or more years of luxury hospitality, private club, spa, or five-star hotel experience.
Knowledge/Skill:
- Understanding of golf culture and high-level service expectations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, refined communication, and personal presentation.
- Proactive, service-driven mindset with a passion for exceeding expectations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Must be able to drive a golf cart.
- Frequently required to go up and down stairs.
- Occasionally lifts up to 30 lbs.
- Frequently communicates with members and guests.
- Must be able to use an iPad and other electronic devices.
- Occasionally works with soft chemicals, including alcohol, bleach, and surface cleaner.
Environment/Noise:
Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
Frequently works with cleaning supplies and chemicals.
Noise level is moderate.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings during the season.
