American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Case Management position at a large academic medical center, requiring active inpatient case management experience and proficiency with Epic.

Day shift position, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, five 8-hour shifts per week

Inpatient case management unit within a large academic hospital (500+ bed facility)
-
Adult Medicine/Surgery patient population
-
No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
-
Uses Epic EMR and post-acute referral platforms such as NaviHealth or Allscripts
-
Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) currently in hand
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Current, active inpatient case management experience required

Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ licensed beds) required

Current BLS certification required

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Experience with post-acute facility referral platforms (e.g., NaviHealth, Allscripts) required

SSN and DOB required for consideration

1 professional reference required for consideration

Coordinates care for a caseload of adult patients from triage through discharge, including safe transition to home or post-acute settings such as nursing facilities, acute inpatient rehab, and local shelters

Proactively communicates with payors to ensure approval of treatment plans and required resources

Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families to support effective and efficient transition planning

Maintains patient information in all departmental systems per operational guidelines
-
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
