Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented QC Inspectors to join our manufacturing team across all shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet rigorous quality standards through precise inspection and measurement procedures. Your expertise will support the production process by maintaining compliance with industry regulations, quality management systems, and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with measurement instruments, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured components and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical drawings to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Perform dimensional measurements, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and analysis to identify deviations from quality standards.
- Execute quality audits in accordance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), and other regulatory requirements such as FDA regulations.
- Utilize calibration procedures for measuring instruments to ensure measurement accuracy and maintain calibration records.
- Document inspection results accurately, identify non-conformances, and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Support quality management systems by participating in root cause analysis, process improvements, and maintaining compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards.
- Assist in the development and review of inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Conduct regular visual inspections using vision systems and other advanced inspection tools to detect surface defects or inconsistencies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing inspection data, identifying trends, and recommending process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documents.
- Proficiency with measurement instruments including height gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Familiarity with ISO standards such as ISO 13485 (medical devices), ISO 9001 (quality management), and GMP regulations.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles, dimensional measurements, and precision measurement techniques used in machining.
- Experience conducting quality audits aligned with regulatory/legal compliance standards.
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations and data analysis.
- Ability to interpret manufacturing documentation accurately and ensure compliance with quality standards in production.
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and root cause analysis related to product quality issues.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with attention to detail to perform precise inspections consistently.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
