Assistant Project Manager – Electrical Construction

Divi Electric is a growing commercial electrical contractor serving North and Central New Jersey. We are looking for a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our project management team with the day-to-day coordination of electrical construction projects.
This position is ideal for someone with construction experience who wants to transition into project management. Field experience as an electrician is considered just as valuable as prior APM experience.
Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers with the coordination and execution of commercial electrical projects
Prepare and track submittals (lighting, switchgear, fire alarm, etc.)
Draft and manage RFIs and track responses from engineers and GCs
Help prepare change order pricing and proposals
Coordinate material procurement and deliveries with vendors and suppliers
Maintain drawing logs, revision sets, and coordination drawings
Assist with project schedules and coordination with field foremen
Support monthly billing documentation (SOVs, change orders, project reports)
Communicate with general contractors, engineers, vendors, and field teams
Qualifications
Electrical field experience (electrician, foreman, or similar role) OR project management experience in construction
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar construction software is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
