Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a great school district in Nottoway County, Virginia to hire Special Education Teachers for self-contained classroom settings. This is a full-time, in-person contract opportunity supporting students in both elementary and middle school environments.
Assignment Details
- Contract Dates: August 12, 2026 to May 28, 2027
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time
- Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week (about 7.5 hours per day)
- School Hours: Elementary: 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM | High School: 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Co-Taught Classroom Options: Grades 3–4 and Grades 7–8
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in a self-contained/co-teaching environment
- Serve as case manager for IEPs
- Complete daily documentation and maintain consistent communication with families
- Collaborate with school staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with state and district special education requirements
Requirements
- Active Virginia Special Education Teaching License (provisional accepted)
- Experience in self-contained or co-teaching environments preferred
- Strong organization, communication, and case management skills
