We are seeking a motivated Accounting Analyst to join our corporate finance team based in Holland, MI. This role supports corporate consolidations, financial reporting, and compliance activities, offering hands-on exposure to core accounting processes within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working with data across multiple systems. This position will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager and will work closely with the Senior Accounting Analyst and Corporate Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the monthly close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries in accordance with corporate accounting policies
- Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts monthly and in accordance with the monthly close calendar
- Support corporate consolidations and financial reporting processes across business units
- Assist with internal controls and compliance support, including documentation for audits
- Collaborate with the Senior Accounting Analyst and broader finance team to meet monthly and quarterly close deadlines
- Maintain accurate and organized supporting documentation for all accounting entries and reconciliations
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities within reporting and close activities
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests, as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles (debits/credits, journal entries, reconciliations)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
