Now Hiring Kennel Attendants for morning, evening, and weekend shifts. CNY Veterinary Medical Services takes pride in providing outstanding care for the pets that stay with us. We do everything in our power to make their stay safe and comfortable. We accomplish this by providing a clean enviornment, feeding and medicating boarders according to instructions, regular exercise, and properly maintaining the equipment and facility. Primary Job Responsibilities: Observe animal appearance and activity for general and physical condition, obvious signs of illness, disease, and discontent. Provide care for animals housed/ visiting the hospital. Report signs of illness, disease, injury, or unusual activity to animal health technicians/ veterinarians. Recording notes concerning observations in patient computer medical records. Laundry, dishes, cleaning environment. Recognize emergencies, enlisting the aid of doctors or technicians immediately. Handle animals as required and restrain animals. Walk hospitalized and boarded dogs several times a day in all weather to provide exercise and time for elimination of bowels and bladder. Ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately and completely. Ensure that crates and animals are properly identified and that personal property is identified, labeled, and stored in proper areas. etc. MUST be hard working, have dependable transportation, be able to work independently, a good team player with strong communication skills, physically able to bend, lift, and be pulled, and not be afraid of large-breed dogs.
Pay: $16.50 per hour
