Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew responsible for lawn care, and landscape maintenance across various projects
- Assign daily tasks to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and quality standards are met
- Properly operate grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and other landscaping tools safely and effectively
- Assist with crew schedules, routing, and job completion, monitor progress, and provide training or guidance as needed to enhance team performance
- Lead and oversee daily lawn maintenance crew operations
- Complete and manage mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, mulching, cleanups, and other landscape maintenance services
- Ensure properties are maintained with quality and a strong attention to detail
- Monitor job sites for safety, cleanliness, and quality standards
- Communicate updates, needs, and concerns with the proper internal teams
- Build positive relationships with customers through reliable, professional service
Requirements
- 6 months to 1 year proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening with a strong understanding of landscaping techniques
- Supervising or team management experience in outdoor setting preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and irrigation management practices
- Knowledge of lawn care practices, plant care, and landscape maintenance
- Ability to identify various plants, trees, and ground cover species confidently
- Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment and landscaping machinery safely
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse crew effectively
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles required for site visits and equipment transport
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions for extended periods
