Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately lay out pipeline routes and specifications
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation
- Install pipelines with precision using pipe lasers and other specialized tools to ensure proper alignment and elevation
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks to secure pipeline supports or encasements as required
- Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation, ensuring safety and compliance
- Weld pipe sections together following safety standards and technical specifications
- Assist with plumbing installations, pipeline connections, and related infrastructure work on construction sites
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks in a construction environment
- Skilled in blueprint reading, pipe laser use, concrete finishing, welding, and concrete forming techniques
- Knowledge of utility locating procedures and pipeline installation processes in oil & gas or municipal projects
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Experience with plumbing systems or pipeline projects is highly desirable
- Construction site experience with a focus on utility installation or infrastructure development is preferred
