Responsibilities:
- Prepare and create a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ability to interact and take food orders from customers in an omakase style setting
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Japanese cuisine
- Attention to detail and ability to create visually appealing dishes
- Knowledge of different types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi making
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
