Job description
Private Practice Medical Assistant/CMA/CCMA/RMA
Competitive salary will be offered and is negotiable based on experience and licensing
The Asthma & Allergy Center of Lynchburg
The Asthma & Allergy Center has been in practice for over 75 years, and has a reputation in the medical community for being one of the top specialty allergy clinics. We are seeking an outstanding nurse, either a CMA, CCMA or RMA (must be active/unexpired,) to join our clinical family in Lynchburg. And when I say family, I mean family, as we operate as a small, very close-knit family in every meaning of that word. We are looking for a Dependable team player who likes to stay busy and is willing to jump in and assist their co-workers when needed.
We are conveniently located on Tate Springs Road only a couple blocks from Lynchburg General Hospital. We have a well-established patient following, encompassing children through the elderly. We provide the full scope of Asthma and Allergy care for our patients. We work regular day time hours. You would never be scheduled to work evening or weekend hours. Our providers see a reasonable patient load of generally 15 - 17 patients a day and our allergy shot room provides injections for approximately 50 - 60 patients per day. We are not a "mill" clinic that moves patients through like cattle just to make a dollar. Our providers spend time with every patient, getting to know them, addressing their concerns and reviewing their symptoms. This full time position provides full benefits. Plus, some of the "fringe" benefits include a friendly, clean office environment, frequent drug-rep provided catered lunches, a generous PTO allotment each year.
SCHEDULE:
The office is open for patient appointments Monday - Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Our nurses work four day work weeks on Mon - Thurs with 9 -10 hour shifts and a 30 minute mandatory lunch period each day. In this role, you would work Mondays, every other Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays in our Lynchburg office . You may be asked to commute to our Roanoke location every other Tuesday. (Distance is 1 hr 10 minutes from our Lynchburg location.)
