We're hiring a Part -Time (0.8 FTE) Registered Nurse at the Children's General Surgery Clinic located in Boise at the Children's Pavilion!
What You Can Expect:
This dynamic role provides the unique opportunity to work with multiple surgical specialties in the pediatric pavilion. The RN will support ENT, General Surgery, and Plastics.

Patient Assessment and Intake

Collect vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, O2, respirations) and document patient history, medications, symptoms, and clinical concerns accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Clinical Care and Procedures

Perform basic clinical tasks. May include: preparing and administering medications, giving injections, or assisting with procedures as directed by the provider.

Care Coordination and Communication

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Coordinate patient care including insurance prior authorizations, telephone triage, relaying test results, and ensuring timely follow-up.

Patient Education and Support

Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and treatment instructions, ensuring understanding and adherence.

Compliance and Safety Standards

Maintain infection control protocols, ensure proper documentation, and adhere to clinic policies, regulatory standards, and patient confidentiality requirements (HIPAA).
Schedule: Monday - Friday, four shifts per week. No weekends / holidays!

Qualifications:

Education: Nursing Degree

Experience: 1 years' experience

Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications:
