Independent Baptist Church – Michigan
Our Independent Baptist church is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to lead our congregation in preaching, discipleship, evangelism, and spiritual growth. We are a mission-minded church with a desire to reach our community for Christ and strengthen our ministries to children, teens, and families.

Position Summary
The Senior Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader of the church, faithfully preaching and teaching the Word of God, shepherding the congregation, equipping believers for ministry, and helping lead the church forward in unity and biblical truth.
Responsibilities
- Preach and teach biblically sound sermons
- Lead regular worship services and prayer meetings
- Provide spiritual leadership and vision for the church
- Shepherd and care for the congregation through visitation, counseling, and discipleship
- Support and encourage missions and outreach efforts
- Help strengthen and grow children’s and teen ministries
- Equip and encourage volunteers and ministry leaders
- Work alongside church leadership in maintaining church doctrine and direction
- Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and communion services
- Be active in evangelism and community outreach
Qualifications
- Have a clear testimony of salvation and calling to pastoral ministry
- Be in agreement with Independent Baptist doctrine and practice
- Have previous pastoral ministry experience
- Hold a degree from an accredited Bible college or have equivalent ministry experience
- Demonstrate strong biblical preaching and leadership ability
- Exhibit a heart for shepherding people and building relationships
- Have a burden for missions, discipleship, and church growth
- Possess integrity, humility, and spiritual maturity
- Have a desire to help develop and grow youth and family ministries
Compensation
Compensation package will be discussed with qualified candidates and may include salary, housing allowance/parsonage, vacation, and ministry expenses.
