Job Summary
Hencetek Staffing is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a reputable Skilled Nursing Facility in Live Oak, CA. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic activities focused on improving daily living skills and functional independence.
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment, and home exercise programs.
- Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
- Active California COTA License (or eligible).
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred).
- Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered mindset.
