Caledonia Animal Clinic is in search of a new team member!
As a Client Care Assistant, you would take part in the following:
- Greet clients and check in pet patients
- Enter and update client and pet information in our practice's computer system
- Perform over-the-counter sales of specialty merchandise, exercising a technical knowledge of products sold
- Prepare health certificates, immunization certificates, and euthanasia certificates
- Verify client invoices and obtain payments after services are performed
- Maintain the appearance of the business office, lobby, and store areas
- Process mail, paid on account transactions, and schedule appointments as needed
- Answer telephones and place calls in a quick, efficient, and professional manner
- Screen calls and forward to various team members
- Follow established policies and procedures in referring clients for immediate treatment of animals when requests are accompanied by descriptions of acute symptoms
- Answer client inquiries about hospital policies, basic pet care questions, and costs of veterinary services
Our Ideal Candidate Is:
- At least 18 years of age
- Has 1+ years of experience working in veterinary reception
- Comfortable handling cats and dogs of all sizes
- Comfortable with the smells associated with pets and cleaning/sterilization products
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds and walk, bend, or stand for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
