Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic Christian early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive classroom atmosphere, and support the developmental needs of preschool children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay a strong foundation for children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth, ensuring they thrive both academically and personally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the formative years of childhood. This is a thirty hour a week position, M-F 6 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that incorporate play-based learning, hands-on activities, and educational games tailored to various developmental stages.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress through observations, standardized testing where applicable, and regular documentation to inform instruction.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's development, milestones, and any behavioral or educational concerns.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times by maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment equipped for toddler care and preschool activities.
- Stay current with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and best practices in early intervention and special education to support diverse learning needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; familiarity with toddler care is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or Christian education are appreciated.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to implement lesson planning effectively while adapting to individual student needs.
- Knowledge of standardized testing methods used in early childhood education to monitor progress.
- Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.
- Commitment to child welfare laws, mandated reporting laws, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
