CNC Machinist – 1st Shift (HAAS VF-9)
LaserForm, LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our machining team on 1st Shift. This position will primarily operate a HAAS VF-9 Vertical Machining Center producing precision components in a fast-paced job shop environment. We are looking for a skilled machinist with strong setup and troubleshooting abilities who can work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
Pay & Schedule
- 1st Shift
- $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
- Full-Time Position
- Overtime opportunities available
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a HAAS VF-9 Vertical Machining Center
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Select, install, and adjust tooling as required
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, and offset adjustments
- Verify part dimensions using precision measuring equipment
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Troubleshoot machining and quality issues
- Maintain production and quality documentation
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience required
- Experience operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs)
- Ability to perform machine setups independently
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools
- Understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating HAAS machining centers
- Knowledge of tooling selection, speeds, and feeds
- Experience in a custom manufacturing or job shop environment
- Ability to edit CNC programs and adjust offsets
