Key Responsibilities
- Teach hands-on courses in coding (Python, Java, Data Science) and robotics (Lego Spike or VEX System).
- Guide students through project-based learning, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
- Prepare and maintain the classroom and equipment, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the GearMinds team regarding student progress.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor, inspiring a love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Who You Are (Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program at a local university or college.
- A solid understanding of core engineering concepts, with a strong interest in coding and/or robotics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you can connect with kids and explain concepts clearly and patiently.
- Energetic, patient, and passionate about working with children and young adults.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of managing a classroom effectively.
- Previous experience in tutoring, coaching, or working with youth is a strong asset.
