SUMMARY:
The Channel Account Manager VAR is responsible for selling Targus’s products via telephone, email or in person to customers in assigned territory and accounts. You will manage our Targus portfolio of mobile products within the US B2B Market and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product management, marketing, and the operations team to bring user needs, market objectives and brand experiences to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Define strategies and initiatives that drive Targus’ sales revenue, profitability and market share.
· Continually monitor the Channel Partner’s business and be able to conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key stakeholders.
· Work with marketing managers, product managers and designers to relate the voice of the customer and develop winning product strategies.
· Actively launch new products to the sales team and channels with monthly and quarterly New Product Launch meetings.
· Energize the Channel Partner sales forces to execute sales strategies, helping them to clearly explain our vision for Targus categories and the mobile connected worker.
· Work closely with VAR Sales and Partner Management teams to effectively execute sell through strategies.
· Required to meet set KPI’s for the VCAM responsibility (will also be required to meet or exceed budget numbers).
· Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Targus products, industry trends and competition.
· Use and maintain Salesforce.com; provide metrics on leads; Leverage CRM and other tools to prospect into specific markets and verticals; Maintain detailed account profiles and lead progress.
· Consistently achieve targets to ensure territory revenue and growth objectives.
· Attend reseller sales conferences, onsite training, tabletops and floor walks.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
· 4+ years of progressive experience in a sales roll.
· Track record as a CAM achieving measurable sales goals using CRM and sales automation tools in a modern sales environment.
· Ability to quickly understand and demonstrate technology and Targus value propositions.
· Have a background in Channel Management with experience in uncovering new opportunities within the Channel Partner, creating and implementing sales incentives and Partner Events.
· The desire to work in a high-energy, fast-paced, team environment.
· Be skilled in Pareto and Gap analysis principles to identify and enable areas for growth.
· Must be able to travel 50 % out of state as well for customer visits and events.
· Highly motivated and driven self-starter with a history of achievement in personal goals and work goals.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills; Detail-oriented and thorough.
· Highly proficient in computing skills with emphasis on MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Word).
· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate strong presentation skills.
· The ability to understand, create, and articulate the product technology, development, and marketing vision.
· Be a multi-tasker while still maintaining strong attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
· Flexibility and ability to work non-standard business hours.
· Ability to work in a remote home office environment (office if located in Southern California).

· Constant ability to remain in a stationary position, move about inside an office or remote setting.
· Push, pull, lift or carry at least 50 lbs. on occasion: minimal kneeling, bending and squatting.
· Able to perform repetitive motion with wrist, hands, and fingers.
