Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the clinical team. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, establishing a positive first impression
- Schedule appointments, manage client records, and handle phone inquiries efficiently
- Collect payments and process medical collections accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and front desk
- Support veterinary staff with administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
- Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary team regarding pet health updates
- Prepare and update medical records, ensuring accuracy in veterinary terminology
Experience
- Prior experience in a veterinary setting is highly preferred, including familiarity with veterinary critical care, and laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures is beneficial
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently are essential for success in this position
