We are a residential home builder serving Sullivan County and all parts of Ulster County. We build new homes and have been at it since 2002. We are looking someone who is a good carpenter, solid communicator and babysit our jobs and keep us informed as sub-contractors come and go. While on the job, minor carpentry projects can fill the day. When no management or supervision is needed, the successful applicant can figure on jumping in with a crew doing interior or exterior trim-work.
What this job is: solid, steady, working with a good team, travelling to our jobs daily which are typically less than 45 minutes from our Wurtsboro offices. Truck supplied and most tools. Our homes are nice but not overly complicated. Working mostly directly with owner and project manager. Meeting with building inspectors.
What this job isn't - Very little client interface, no computer work, not typically a 'sit in your truck and watch the day go by' job.
Depending on the day, tasks can be as simple as meet with the appliance delivery and cable install company, and as hard as trim carpentry.
A thorough exposure to all phases of construction and construction communication is vital.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
