Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanics and Ductwork Installers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining sheet metal systems, ductwork, and mechanical systems across commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC ductwork systems according to blueprints and schematics, ensuring proper airflow and system efficiency.
- Measure, cut, and assemble ducts using materials such as sheet metal, fiberglass, and flexible ducts
- Inspect systems, identify problems, and perform necessary repairs
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment
- Stay updated on HVAC industry trends and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a duct installer or in a similar HVAC role
- Familiarity with HVAC blueprints, schematics, and system operations
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
Work Environment
- Work is performed in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, often requiring travel between sites
- Work will be completed on Air Force Base – Clearance will be needed prior to start – Real ID or Driver’s License and Birth Certificate Required
- Exposure to various weather conditions and physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing
