Job Summary
We are seeking a personable and attentive Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of food and beverage service, and experience working in fast-paced or fine dining environments. This role involves taking orders, serving food and drinks, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is preferred, along with a background in food safety and hospitality. The Server will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences through attentive service and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha or Micros
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments via POS systems including OpenTable for reservations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables, refilling beverages, and other guest needs as required
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary requests
- Uphold food safety standards during food handling and service procedures
- Engage with guests to foster positive relations, address concerns promptly, and ensure a memorable experience
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is preferred
- Experience with upselling techniques and guest relations enhances the ability to maximize sales and guest satisfaction
- Background in food safety, sanitation, basic math for cashiering, and food preparation is beneficial
- Prior host/hostess or bussing experience can be advantageous for team collaboration and guest engagement
- Strong time management skills combined with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role
