Role Overview:
Client's Global Sourcing and Supply Management (GSSM) team is seeking a highly strategic, experienced Contract Global Supply Manager to support our rapidly expanding Global Benefits and Healthcare portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing complex, multi-million-dollar engagements across health technologies, wellness programs, and clinical benefits.
You will act as a primary commercial advisor to the Benefits Business Team, bridging the gap between clinical strategy, financial modeling, and legal risk mitigation. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in the US healthcare ecosystem, a proven track record of negotiating complex Master Agreements, and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities: #INDHB
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead end-to-end RFx processes for complex healthcare and benefits programs. Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, and pricing models that drive value-based care and lowest net-cost outcomes.
Contract Management & Legal Alignment: Partner directly with Corporate Purchasing Legal (CPL), Benefits Legal, and Privacy teams to draft, review, and execute Master Agreements (APAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Data Privacy (ISDP) addendums. Ensure all vendor contracts strictly adhere to Client's risk, liability, and compliance postures.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the primary procurement liaison between the Benefits Business Team, Finance, Product Marketing, and Legal. Translate ambiguous business requirements into actionable, legally sound procurement strategies.
Financial Modeling & Cost Analysis: Build complex "should-cost" models to evaluate vendor proposals. Conduct deep-dive spend analyses across the benefits portfolio to identify cost-avoidance opportunities, eliminate redundant administrative fees, and execute hard savings initiatives.
Vendor Management: Drive ongoing performance management for key strategic partners. Monitor SLA compliance, conduct quarterly business reviews, and manage high-stakes escalations to ensure vendors deliver on clinical and operational commitments.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of strategic procurement, sourcing, or management consulting experience, with a heavy emphasis on the Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals (PBM), or Corporate Benefits sectors.
Healthcare Acumen: Deep understanding of healthcare economics, including fee-for-service vs. value-based care models, self-insured employer dynamics, and health tech data privacy regulations (HIPAA).
Contracting Expertise: Proven ability to redline and negotiate complex commercial contracts. Strong understanding of legal mechanics including indemnification, limitations of liability, and order of precedence (SOW vs. Master Agreement).
Analytical Rigor: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, spend analytics, and ROI calculations. Ability to translate complex datasets into executive-level presentations.
Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills. Ability to navigate high-ambiguity environments, push back constructively, and drive consensus across diverse, cross-functional teams without ego.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience negotiating with major healthcare carriers, PBMs, or digital health point-solutions.
Familiarity with international benefits structures (e.g., Captives, Master Trusts).
