This position offers the chance to work within a welcoming educational community in the Winchester area, providing expertise and compassionate care to students from diverse backgrounds. The ideal start date is July 27th, 2026, with the assignment running through May 28th, 2027, for a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active Virginia Psychologist license (VA Psych License) required
- Experience working within educational or school settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of assessment tools, interventions, and counseling best practices
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work both onsite or virtually, as virtual arrangements are welcomed beginning June 24th, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough student evaluations and interpret assessment results
- Develop and recommend effective intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and support for individuals, groups, and families as needed
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in crisis intervention and prevention initiatives
- Promote inclusive, student-focused environments and positive behavioral supports
