Job Description:
We are a small, traditional nonsectarian nursery program for children two through five years of age, seeking a full-time Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred - Master’s degree or matriculation in a Master’s degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Preferred: NY State Certification, or working towards Certification
Requirements/Expectations:
· Create and implement a developmentally appropriate, balanced and emergent curriculum
· Maintain and manage an organized, safe and welcoming classroom learning environment
· Collaborate with co-teaching teams on curriculum development and classroom management
· Communicate professionally and positively with parents and caregivers
The ideal candidate will:
- Be passionate about working with young children
- Have strong classroom experience, particularly in Kindergarten
- Possess strong classroom management skills
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Be Mac savvy and technologically able
