About San Juan Airport Hotel: Situated at the heart of Luis Muñoz Marin Airport, the San Juan Airport Hotel is a haven for travelers seeking convenience and comfort. Our commitment to safety and guest satisfaction sets us apart, and we're currently seeking a bilingual Security Officer to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the safety and security of our hotel premises, ensuring a peaceful stay for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive patrols throughout the hotel premises to ensure safety and security.
- Assist the Front Desk with guests' luggage and other requests as needed.
- Acquire and maintain airport identification for accessing restricted areas.
- Manage and resolve conflicts effectively, maintaining a serene temperament under stress.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel security protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
- Successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
- Provide assistance and support to guests and staff in emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license for vehicle registration in the airport parking.
- Proven ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Availability to work rotating shifts (6 AM-3 PM, 12 PM-9 PM, 9 PM-6 AM), including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in security or law enforcement is a plus.
