Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Store Clerk to join our Farm Family. Taft Farms is a leader in bringing healthy, local foods to our community at reasonable prices and in a responsible way. We are looking to find 2-3 more people to add to our team as we approach fall. we have full and part time opportuinities, year round available.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries.
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking and inventory management
- Handle customer questions and orders via phone professionally and courteously
- Assist with supervising team members during shifts, supporting a collaborative work environment
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations for retail transactions
- produce and plant knowledge is preferred, but can be trained as necessary.
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers
- Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail sales environments is a plus
Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
