American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a PCU Cardiac Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of PCU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Progressive Care Unit setting with lower acuity cardiac patients
-
Cardiac experience preferred
-
Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)

Weekday and some weekend shifts required
-
Rotating holiday coverage required
-
Estimated patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:4

Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
NIHSS certification preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required
-
Skilled in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor, and the second acceptable from a Charge RN
-
No coworker references accepted

Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care within a progressive care/stepdown unit
-
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and monitor telemetry on the unit
-
Manage cardiac drips (no titration) and administer heparin protocols
-
Perform sheath removal and TR band application for pre/post cardiac surgery patients
-
Utilize isolation precautions and PPE as needed
-
Perform wound care and wound vac management as needed
-
Requires urgent completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately after signing contract
-
Candidates located far from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete promptly

Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate

Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility

Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
