American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR (Cardiovascular OR) position in Asheville, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active ACLS certification.

Position is based in a Cardiovascular Pre-Op unit (CV PreOp, Building E – The Heart Tower) within a large 815-bed regional referral hospital

Unit has 4 beds with a 1:1 patient ratio
-
Staffing support includes CNCs, unit secretary, and a shared manager with the CVOR team
-
Documentation is completed in Cerner
-
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
-
On-call requirement includes staying late 1–2 times per week

Floating is required within scope of practice and experience

GE Carescape monitoring and Fuji ultrasound equipment are used on the unit
-
Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR or cardiovascular surgery RN experience required

Critical care experience is required; Pre-Op experience is a plus

Proficiency with BCMA and strong documentation skills required

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Strong critical thinking and interdepartmental communication skills required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
-
One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

Responsibilities include large-bore IV starts, chin-to-toe hair removal, medication administration, skin assessment, and assisting with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement

Additional duties include transporting patients to the OR and assisting with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep

Scrubs are provided by the facility
