SUMMARY:
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. This position also inspects and audits purchased, manufactured components and assemblies. This role will also inspect painted or plated parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with Quality Supervisor or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. Conducts inspections and test as assigned: Inspects and/or tests at specified stages in production process, for variety of qualities such as dimensions and appearance. Records inspections and test data. Evaluates inspection and test data and produces standardized reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure conformance. Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
At least two or more years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aptitude to take direction and orders and execute them efficiently. Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi‐task. Previous experience working within a highly standardized environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
HOURS:
We are open 24 hours Monday - Thursday. We can be flexible with your hours. You can work as little as 30 hours a week up to 54 hours a week.
