Job Summary
Join our transportation team as a CDL Bus Driver. In this role, you will operate specialized vehicles designed to provide safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for individuals with mobility challenges, seniors, and other passengers requiring assistance.
Duties
- Safely operate paratransit vehicles equipped for wheelchair assistance and passenger transport in compliance with all state and local transportation safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility devices such as wheelchairs or walkers.
- Follow designated routes accurately while responding quickly to traffic changes and unexpected road conditions to ensure timely arrivals.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and passengers.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
- Proven experience driving buses, transit vehicles, or school buses.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and emergency stop procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective behavior management techniques to handle diverse passenger needs professionally.
Pay: $1,005.00 - $1,520.00 per week
