Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble meals according to established recipes and menus, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on meal options and ingredient needs
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve prepared food to staff or customers with professionalism and attention to presentation
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques is essential
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are highly desirable
- Experience with menu planning, cooking, and food industry practices will be advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining aattention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
