POSITION SUMMARY:
Our summer programs kick off on June 1, 2026, and we're looking for extraordinary Summer Youth Development Professionals to join our team. This position is made for individuals who are passionate about working with youth and are ready to make a lasting impact during the summer months. As the Summer Youth Development Professional, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work closely with the youth, ensuring their growth and development in a safe and engaging environment. The person who fills this position will also be responsible for the items listed below and will work under the direction of the Club Director.
KEY ROLES & ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish weekly/monthly programs consistent with organizational goals and missions.

Develop a schedule of programs that will be presented at the site for the week and month and keep staff notebook updated using the youth development report form for each activity conducted.

Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of programs and activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program areas.

Create an environment that promotes and stimulates program participation.

Register new members and participate in their club orientation.

Provide guidance and role modeling to members.

Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for drop-in members.

Monitor services and activities to ensure the safety of members and maintain the appearance of the facility.

Ensure continual evaluation of the programs and ensure programs/activities respond to members’ needs.

May participate in special programs and/or events.
ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS
Daily contact with club staff, club and teen center members, outside organizations and individuals to plan, coordinate and deliver programs. Normal internal office environment. Travel to special events and field trips may be required. Must be able to work daily afternoon/evening hours. Occasional weekend hours may be required to accomplish objectives. The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing more than 25lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.
