Overview
We are seeking motivated culinary professionals to join our team as Event Kitchen Assistants / Sous Chefs, with the opportunity to grow into Private Chef roles.
This is a hands-on, event-based role where you will work in private homes assisting with high-end dining experiences. You will be trained through real events and guided toward running your own events independently.
We have successfully developed team members into Lead Private Chefs through this process and are continuing to grow our team.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with event setup, prep, and breakdown
- Support the Lead Chef during private dining events
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency
- Learn event flow, timing, and execution
- Gradually take on more responsibility as you develop
- Travel to events
Growth Path:
Top performers will be trained and promoted into Private Chef roles, where you will:
- Lead your own events
- Manage client experience
- Execute full dining services independently
Requirements:
- Culinary experience preferred (restaurant, catering, or similar)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Comfortable interacting with clients in-person in a professional and personable manner
- ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with menu planning or food cost awareness is a plus
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Professional communication and presentation
- Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
This role requires:
- Working long hours on your feet
- Carrying equipment
- Frequently going up and down stairs in residential homes
- Full event setup and breakdown
- Eventually operating solo at events
- Traveling (locally and out-of-town)
- Work late nights
Compensation:
- Paid per event (flat rate based on role and event size)
- Increased pay as you advance into Private Chef roles

Background Check Requirement
This position requires a background check prior to onboarding. Candidates must be willing to complete identity verification and consent to a standard background screening as part of the hiring process.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
