Director, Incentive Compensation
Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote) | Direct Hire | Kansas City, MO
A well-established financial services organization is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the design and management of complex incentive compensation programs. This position will play a key role in aligning pay programs with business objectives while ensuring operational accuracy and compliance. The role will work closely with the current leader as part of a long-term succession plan, offering a clear path to a future director-level opportunity.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and administration of incentive compensation programs across multiple business units
- Partner with leadership to evaluate plan effectiveness and ensure alignment with organizational goals and performance metrics
- Oversee data integrity, calculations, and reporting to ensure accurate and timely payouts
- Conduct detailed analysis of incentive trends and performance results to provide actionable insights
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and senior executives to support annual budgeting, plan design, and forecasting
- Develop and maintain program documentation, training materials, and communication plans
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a growing compensation team, fostering collaboration and professional development
- Manage complex projects and present recommendations to senior leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
- 8+ years of experience managing incentive or sales compensation programs in a corporate environment
- 4+ years of people management experience with demonstrated leadership capability
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Proven analytical and technical proficiency, with experience managing data-driven compensation models
- Familiarity with incentive compensation management systems preferred
- High integrity, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented culture
