Cardin Healthcare is a community-based organization located on the campus of Long Beach Memorial Hospital. We provide care to over 12,000 patients with 6 physicians, 4-midlevels and over 30 medical assistances. We are active with the Enhanced Care Management a service program to tackle the health and social inequalities that plague our community. We employ over 30 case workers and outreach personnel. Currently our Behavioral health program is limited to 2 licensed social workers taking care of patients between the ages of 6 to 99.
We are interested in hiring an experience employee to initiate our Behavioral health center for autism and delayed development. One that shows leadership and can work with a team of mental health professionals, medical staff providers and case workers.
Responsibilities:
-Conducting initial consultations with the client and performing diagnostic assessments
-Meeting with families and educators on clients' concerns as needed
-Conducting observation of clients within individual and group settings
-Create simulated conditions and observe the behavior of each client
-Formulate an appropriate treatment plan that is sensitive to clients' cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs.
-Administer treatment and tailor interventions
-Suggest additional treatment by other professionals as required
-Operate within time, financial and other resource constraints
-Remain abreast of changes in research on evidence-based practices.
-Advocate for the inclusion of individuals with disorders and disabilities within society.
Requirements and skills:
-Must be ABA certified with a least a master's in psychology or social worker. Have experience working with behavioral technologist.
-In-depth knowledge of and adherence to applicable ethical codes
-Knowledge of appropriate referral procedures
-Excellent verbal and report writing skills
-Calm, empathetic, and patient demeanor
-Ability to remain composed and adherent to best practices, even under duress
-Relevant training and/or certifications as a Behavioral Analyst.
