Business Litigation Associate (3–4 Years Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented, driven, and analytical Business Litigation Associate with 3 to 4
years of commercial litigation experience to join our growing practice group. At this stage in
your career, you will move past pure legal research and drafting into a role with high
autonomy, direct client contact, and substantial courtroom and deposition experience.
The ideal candidate possesses strong advocacy skills, a sharp strategic mind for complex
business disputes, and the ability to manage cases from initial intake through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management & Strategy: Manage a diverse caseload of commercial disputes
(e.g., breach of contract, partnership disputes, business torts, construction dispute)
from inception through trial or settlement.
- Pleadings & Motions: Draft and prepare complex pleadings, motions to dismiss,
summary judgment motions, and appellate briefs.
- Discovery & Depositions: Formulate and execute comprehensive discovery plans,
propound and respond to discovery requests, manage large-scale e-discovery, and
conduct and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
- Courtroom Advocacy: Regularly appear in state and federal courts for status
conferences, motion hearings, and oral arguments. Assist with, or second-chair,
trials and arbitrations.
- Client Advising: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing clear risk
assessments, legal strategies, and regular case updates.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): Prepare mediation briefs and represent
clients effectively in mediation and settlement negotiations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3–4 years of dedicated commercial/business litigation experience in a
law firm setting.
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with strong
academic credentials.
- Bar Admission: Active member in good standing with the State Bar (or eligible for
immediate admission/waive-in).
- Writing & Analytical Skills: Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical
skills, with a proven ability to distill complex factual and legal issues into persuasive
arguments.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, excellent time
management, and the ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines.

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
