The Job
Keep the kitchen running smoothly by washing dishes, sanitizing kitchen tools and surfaces, and helping maintain a clean, safe workspace for the Skyroom Restaurant and catered events. Training is provided—great for first-time workers (and minors where permitted).
What You’ll Do
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment
- Operate dish machine and/or three-compartment sink following sanitation standards
- Keep dish area clean and organized (floors, drains, trash, carts, racks)
- Sort and scrape dishes; handle waste safely and promptly
- Assist with kitchen clean-up tasks (sweeping/mopping, wiping surfaces, taking out trash)
- Support basic kitchen needs as assigned (restocking, moving supplies, light prep support if permitted)
- Follow all safety procedures (chemical handling, slip prevention, proper PPE)
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, strong work ethic, and willing to learn
- Team-oriented and able to work at a steady pace
- Comfortable in a wet, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Available for peak shifts: weekends, evenings, holidays (as scheduled)
Great for first-time workers: We’ll teach you how to run the dish station, follow sanitation rules, and keep everything organized and moving during rush periods.

- Must meet minimum working age requirements
- Work permits/parental consent may be required for minors
- Certain duties/equipment/hours may be limited by age. If restricted, tasks and scheduling will be adjusted accordingly.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Lifting/carrying items (commonly up to ~25 lbs; occasionally more with assistance)
- Wet floors, heat, noise, and fast-paced environment
