What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government utility location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Monitor access points and help to verify that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas, following post orders and visitor processing procedures.

Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining activity logs, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or access control concerns observed during patrols.
Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be able to ride a bike.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
